Hello! My name is Briana Joellee and I am a proud Alumna of North Carolina A&T State University. While in college as an undergraduate I majored in Fashion Merchandising and Design. My love for all things fashion grew as I discovered the power of fashion and the freedom it possessed. Everyone has a story, even if you don’t realize exactly what it is yet. If you’re like me, you may still be in the process of creating your beautiful complicated story.

Either way our stories are shaped based on our own experiences and perceptions. Those different experiences make us unique and powerful. Knowing that, I wanted to create a blog where people could truly come together and learn about all things fashion, beauty and everything in between. This led to My Type of Chic being created.
